Introduction
The file comparison page allows you to compare files, offering a preview of the differences between analyses within the same project. This facilitates tracking modifications and understanding the evolution of your work. Added and Modified files contain a label under the file name on the file list on the left for easier recognition.
Labels
Labels that are related to file comparisons between selected analyses include “added” (green label) and “modified” (blue label). The labels are applied only to files in edited projects, after files have been added or updated.
Filters
You can filter files based on various criteria. The file list provides the following details for each file:
- Modification – Filter for unmodified files, modified files and added files.
- Status – Filter files based on the task statuses as modified by the user. This allows you to see files according to their current progress in the task.
- Assignee – Filter by the file owner. The project creator is the default owner, but you can select a different assignee to view files assigned to them.
- Keywords – Enter free text to filter files based on keywords associated with them.
- Outcome – Filter files based on their outcome after analysis: Suspected, Verified, Not Applicable, and Faulted.
- Type – Filter files based on their type
How to Access to the Analysis Comparison Page [Step-by-Step]
There are 2 ways to access the Comparison Page:
- From the Project Overview Comparison Page by defining the comparison desired and by clicking on “Review Comparison"
- From the Analysis Comparison Page in the lateral Panel, by defining the comparison desired.
How to Compare Different Analysis Version [Step-by-Step]
- Select a file with the “Modified” Labels
- Deleted sections are highlighted in red with a strikethrough, while added sections are highlighted in green.
For files that do not contain any differences between the analyses compared the notification “No modifications were found” appears at the top of the screen.
Note: Figures cannot currently be compared.
Comparison Support Multi-Tabs
The Comparison view now extends its support to files containing multi-tab. Differences are now detected and displayed across all tabs, not just the first, ensuring that any changes on the second or subsequent tabs are included in the comparison results.

Comparison Analysis Selection
Verify’s Comparison view now makes analysis selection clearer and faster with fewer clicks.:
- Always-visible selector: Analysis selection has moved from the main menu dropdown to a dedicated left-side tab that is always open within the Comparison view.
- Smart default pairing: By default, the selector preloads the latest analysis vs. its immediate previous analysis, so user can compare the most recent changes with one click.

Average Discrepancies per File
On the comparison overview tab section, the Discrepancies Trend now includes a new metric:
Average Discrepancies per File
This enhancement allows users to:
• Monitor discrepancy density normalized by file count
• Better assess overall data quality improvements between analyses
• Identify whether discrepancies are concentrated in specific files or broadly distributed
• Gain clearer insight into project-level validation trends
By complementing the existing discrepancy metrics, this new trend provides a more balanced and actionable performance indicator.
Figure Title and Footnote Comparison
The comparison functionality supports figures, enabling users to compare figure titles and footnotes across different analyses to accurately identify textual modifications.
