Progress Tracker Purpose and Overview
Verify’s Progress Tracker page supports overall QC tracking, management, and decision-making processes. On this page, users upload an Excel project tracker document, and Verify automatically synchronizes the Project Tracker page with the validation and review activities that users perform within Verify. The Progress Tracker page enables assigning different users to each QC stage, and is used to manage and track the delivery status for all project files.
New enhancements to the Progress Tracker page include adding support for additional file types, allowing similar columns from different domains, keeping tracker capitalization, and adding a new column type “Status”.
Progress Tracker page
Extended Tracking (SDTM, ADaM, TLFs, Other)
Verify’s Progress Tracker now supports complete study tracking across SDTM, ADaM, TLFs, and Other document types. The tracker introduces multi-tab management, a streamlined upload & mapping wizard, consistent editing, and bulk actions per tab, as well as richer filtering and clearer audit recording, while maintaining UI behaviors aligned with the existing TLF experience.
Progress Tracker with multi-tab structure
Multi-Tab Structure & Behaviors
- Unified, Multi-Tab Structure
Four tabs—SDTM, ADaM, TLFs, Other—each with its own default columns and behaviors. The tracker remembers the last tab per user & project, speeding up daily workflows. - Smarter Upload & Mapping
A streamlined, responsive wizard automatically suggests worksheet-tab matches, as well as column mappings based on the type of file being used. Adds the ability to detect gaps in ADaM and maintains a clear validation for file naming. - Consistent Editing & Bulk Actions
The TLF experience is maintained across all tabs: add/rename/change column types, add/remove rows, and perform bulk edits per tab (assignees, status, free text, mapped/custom columns). The file name remains protected. - Focused Filtering & In-Context Updates
Tab-specific filter sets, with inline updates, the right-side details panel surfaces Status first and mirrors the active tab's column order. - Per-user memory: Verify remembers the last visited tab per user per project, improving continuity across sessions.
- Comprehensive Export
Download all tabs in a single multi-sheet workbook. Empty tabs are still exported with saved columns to preserve structure. - Clearer Audit
Activity Log entries now include the tab name in pre/new values and details. Adding SDTM/ADaM/TLF/Other (tab name) to the audit, tightening traceability across the study.
Progress Tracker: Aggregated File Review Progress (Review % Column)
The Progress Tracker page now provides a File Review Progress bar (Review % column), which contains the aggregated review progress status for each file based on the review activities of multiple users. This feature enables a real-time and comprehensive overview of the QC status, allowing for improved tracking and management of the review workflow.
The aggregated review percentage is calculated based on file updates made by users defined as having the following key roles:
- Production Programmer
- QC Programmer
- QC Statistician
The file review status is user-specific, and is displayed in each of the above users’ File Review page as a list of My Reviewed Files and My Unreviewed Files. If a user is not defined as having one of these three roles, their updates will not affect the aggregated review percentage on the Progress Tracker page, maintaining accuracy.
The aggregated review percentage is dynamically updated when these user roles perform the following actions in the File Review page:
- Review percentage increases when users mark files as Reviewed (as single or bulk actions).
- Review percentage decreases when users mark files as Unreviewed (due to process actions or reset by users).
Progress Tracker: File Details Panel
Verify introduces an improved record row structure with two-tab navigation, displaying Status Summary and Details. This provides a structured and intuitive way to track file review progress, update file status, and access detailed user assignment information.
Users can open the File Details panel by clicking on a row in the Progress Tracker.
Status Summary Tab
- File Review Progress – Displays detailed progress bar information (reflected in the Review % column of the Progress Tracker page, based review activities of assigned reviewers).
- File Task Status Overview – Includes a summary breakdown of the file review progress, based on all tasks associated with the file (created in the File Review page).
- File Status – Displays the current file status.
Details Tab
- On the Details tab, users can see file data and assigned user information, based on the columns and information provided on the Progress Tracker page. Users can also edit information in this tab.
Progress Tracker: Pinned Columns
The Progress Tracker page now includes an improved display of file review information, by allowing users to pin or unpin specific columns for better visibility and usability. Pinned columns remain fixed when users scroll on the page, so that essential TLF # or File Review Progress information remains in view while scrolling.
Progress Tracker: Column Identification Enhancements
After users upload a project tracker file in Excel format to the Progress Tracker page, Verify automatically creates rows on the Progress Tracker page, which correspond to TLF output files listed in the uploaded tracker file.
The Progress Tracker page now automatically recognizes the Output Number column on uploaded tracker files.
With this addition, the Progress Tracker page now contains the following default main columns, to enable users to track and update details for each file:
- File Name
- Output Number (new)
- Output Type
- File Status
- Production Programmer
- QC Programmer
- QC Statistician
If the system cannot identify one of the above default columns from the uploaded tracker file, users are prompted with a one-time popup dialog to match the correct columns from the tracker.
After users identify and confirm these columns via the popup, settings are saved and used automatically for all future projects.
Progress Tracker: Add Column
Users can now add custom columns to the Progress Tracker page, for greater flexibility and control over data organization on the page.
- Columns can be updated via bulk actions, allowing users to edit multiple entries simultaneously.
The following column types are supported when adding a new column; each is tailored for different data input needs:
- Text – Free text field, allowing detailed input
- Dropdown – Predefined list, set by users
- Assignee/People – User selection
- Date – Populated with standard date format
Progress Tracker: Add Row
Users can now add rows to the Progress Tracker page for files that haven't been uploaded yet, improving flexibility and control over project tracking. Adding rows for files that are part of the project but have not yet been uploaded help maintain a comprehensive view of a delivery set.
- Until the corresponding file is uploaded to the project, Verify adds the label Missing from Project. After the corresponding file is uploaded to the project, this label is automatically removed.
- To ensure proper synchronization, the following mandatory fields must be provided when adding a row:
- File Name
- Type (Table, Listing, or Figure)
- Output Number
- Verify validates that the file is not already listed in the Progress Tracker, and provides the user with a notification if there is a duplication.
Progress Tracker: Bulk Actions
To improve efficiency and reduce repetitive effort, Verify now supports bulk changes to quickly update multiple records in the Progress Tracker page simultaneously.
Users can select multiple records and apply bulk updates for the following actions:
- User assignments (new)
- File Status (new)
- Free text updates
- Date updates
Functionality
- When users upload a tracker file, Verify automatically assigns users (represented as columns in the Project Tracker page) to each of the TLF files (represented as rows), based on the tracker file. Each time a tracker file is uploaded, assignments are applied from the most recent tracker file.
- Users can upload an updated tracker file to overwrite the current assignees.
- Users can modify assignees from the Progress Tracker page; these changes are also reflected in the File Review page.
- Users can modify assignees from the File Review page; these changes are reflected in the Progress Tracker page under the Production Programmer column.
Add a file to tracker
When a file is marked as “Missing in Tracker” it is possible to click on the specific file and click “Add file to Tracker”. By doing so, the file information is changeable and it is possible to use the status and assignee option.
How to Upload a Tracker [Step-by-Step]

Progress Tracker: Potential Data Gap Handling
To improve clarity and enhance user understanding when a file that is listed in the uploaded tracker has not been added to the project (identified by the Potential Data Gap label), Verify now provides users an alert notification to indicate this potential gap.
The following message is now displayed:
“This file wasn’t in your imported tracker. Consider checking LoT and Mock Shell for any gaps.”
A “Got It” button is displayed within the alert message. When users click this button, Verify:
- Dismisses the alert
- Removes the Potential Data Gap label, indicating the issue has been acknowledged.
Users can continue to update these rows.
Progress Tracker: Quick Filters
For improved clarity, filters and labels in the Progress Tracker page have been updated as follows:
- The “Availability” filter is now renamed Gaps.
- The “Missing in tracker” label is now renamed Potential Data Gaps.
- The “Missing in Verify” label is now renamed to Missing from Project. Filtering by this label allows users to view the list of files that have not yet been added to the project.
- The “Exists in both” label is now renamed to No Gaps.
Progress Tracker: Activity Log
The following new Progress Tracker page activities are recorded in the Activity Log:
- Add new column to Progress Tracker page

All changes are recorded in the Activity Log.
Progress Tracker: Link to Tasks from Status Summary tab
When users click on a file in the Progress Tracker page, a Status Summary tab opens, containing additional file information. This Status Summary now includes a Review Tasks link for improved access to file-related tasks. Clicking this link opens the Task Manager page, filtered by the selected file.
Progress Tracker: Linked Navigation by File Name
The File Name is now displayed as a clickable link on the Progress Tracker page. Clicking the link opens the specific file in the File Review page. This enables seamless navigation between the Progress Tracker and File Review pages, to speed access to key files and reduce navigation time.
Progress Tracker: TLF Type Dropdown
To improve consistency and standardized data input, a new TLF Type dropdown menu is now provided when users add a new row to the Progress Tracker page.
