Introduction 

Kaplan-Meier plots are used to estimate the survival function from lifetime data. The number of participants at risk appears in the legends at the bottom of the figure and it should decrease to zero, where 0 indicates that there are no more patients at risk at the end of the research.

Purpose

Validates in Kaplan-Meier plots that 

• A legend displaying the number of participants at risk is included.
• The Kaplan-Meier legend correctly ends with zero for each treatment group.

Applicability 

Inclusion conditions 

• Oncology studies only.
• Kaplan-Meier figures (PDF format)
• Identify by keywords:
  • Kaplan-Meier
  • Time to event

Exclusion 

• Non oncology studies.
• Non Kaplan-Meier figures 
• Figures in a non-PDF format
• Empty file
• Table, Listing, ADaM, LoT, Mockshell

Discrepancies

• Values in far right ≠ 0
• No legend number of participants in risk
