Validates capitalization based on company standards. Users with applicable permissions can manage a whitelist of complex terms with non-standard capitalization (e.g., COVID-19) via the 'Settings -> Non-Standard Values' page. You can add new terms, import a bulk list, and edit/remove entries to effectively reduce false positives.
Additionally, if a table contains the phrase 'Analysis set' in its first row, the check evaluates whether the row header specifically matches the configured sentence casing rules.
There are 2 types of cases:
Title Case
All words begin with a capital letter, except for articles, conjugations and prepositions
Sentence case
First word begins with a capital letter, followed by lowercase letters for the rest of the heading

Capitalization Format Check: Non-Standard Values
To support greater flexibility when applying the Capitalization Format check, Verify introduces a dedicated interface for managing how words with non-standard capitalization should be checked. Users with applicable permissions can now create and manage this list of non-standard values to apply to the Capitalization Format check, directly from the new Non-Standard Values page.
The Non-Standard Values page contains a list of values for the Capitalization Format check
On the Non-Standard Values page, users can:
- View the existing list of words with non-standard capitalization, with value creation details
- Add new terms to the Capitalization Format check collection by selecting the +Value button, entering a value, and selecting Create
- Import a list of values in bulk
Edit or remove entries as needed
This enhancement helps reduce validation false positives for complex terminology (e.g., COVID-19), streamlines check customization, and improves alignment with company-specific standards.
All values saved on this page are automatically applied to subsequent Capitalization Format checks, enabling consistent and accurate results across all files.
