Purpose and Overview
Verify has further extended support for different types of Pharma sponsors and CRO organizations to securely collaborate. Your organization can now define your collaboration type and sharing restrictions according to one of the following setups:
- Pharma/Sponsor – Verify runs in a stand-alone environment that serves only the pharma organization.
- CRO – Verify runs in a stand-alone environment, while providing services to one or more sponsors.
- CRO-Sponsor – Verify runs in an environment shared by a CRO and a sponsor.
Both the CRO and CRO-Sponsor setup support streamlined workflows between CROs and sponsors, enabling CROs and sponsors to communicate within Verify with visibility, traceability, and efficiency, while maintaining a secure barrier between sponsors.
Creating CRO-Sponsor Projects
To support secure CRO-Sponsor workflows, projects with this setup have the following restrictions:
- Only CRO users have permissions to create or edit a project.
- During project creation, the CRO user defines two new parameters in the Project Wizard: Customer and Project visibility.
- Customer: Indicates the sponsor that the project is related to.
- Project visibility: Indicates whether the project is Internal (only visible to CRO users) or External (CRO & sponsor working together on the same project).
- These parameters cannot be edited after the project is created.
- For projects defined as having External visibility, the CRO sets a specific sponsor to share the project with. Sponsor users can share additional team members on the project.
- An External project can be shared with only one sponsor user group, to ensure a secure barrier between sponsors.
Users set Customer and Project visibility via the Project Wizard
Sharing Permissions
| Pharma/Sponsor | CRO | CRO-Sponsor | |
| Internal Project Visibility | All projects are visible to shared users. | All projects are visible to all shared CRO company users. | Visible to CRO company users only. |
| External Project Visibility | N/A | N/A | Visible to CRO company users and sponsor users (one sponsor for each project) |
Only authorized users can be shared on a project, mentioned in comments, and assigned tasks and files. Therefore, the following actions now result in user permission validation, in relation to the project settings:
- Sharing projects (applies to both creating and editing projects)
- Assigning Tasks (issues and discrepancies)
- Mentioning in comments
- Assigning files (applies to the File Review page and Progress Tracker page)
User Admins can apply various roles to users as part of user creation and editing, as follows:
| Permissions | Manager | Developer | Reviewer Plus | Reviewer | Sponsor |
